The brass sculptures in Africa, such as the renowned Benin Bronzes from West Africa, astonished European explorers and later challenged colonial perceptions of African civilization. Their intricate artistry, technical mastery, and sophistication stood as undeniable evidence of the genius of the African people- long before the world was willing to acknowledge it.
